Bev’s interest in theatre began when she became a runner and subsequent committee member for the annual Shakespeare play at Ludlow Castle. She went on to graduate from Cardiff University and has directed a wide range of plays, musicals and pantomimes at theatres across Cardiff, Malvern, Cheltenham, Hereford and the Bristol Old Vic. She has received numerous awards for her work as a writer, actor and director, including a national writing award from the Daily Telegraph.

Bev has been adjudicating for 35 years. She is a founding member of HPA Fest (Herefordshire Performing Arts Festival), has contributed to GoDA introductory days and has served three terms on the GoDA Council.

Bev has adjudicated more than 750 productions, including the FEATS youth drama festivals in Antwerp and Brussels, and the International Drama Festival in Gibraltar. She has also judged various rounds of the AETF, the NFYFC Welsh and National Finals, as well as a number of Eisteddfods.

Bev is a former Head of Drama at Moor Park Prep School near Ludlow, Shropshire. Now semi-retired, she teaches speech and drama and has become a celebrant.
