Qualifications and Experience    

Bethany Gail joins GoDA as an Associate Member. She holds a BA (Hons) in Acting and Performance, anchoring 40-years of experience on stage as an actor alongside over 20 years directing and choreographing both drama and musical theatre. Deeply passionate about developing community theatre, Bethany is a Trustee on the Board at the Nantwich Players, the Founder and Head of the Nantwich Players Studio Theatre, and the company's Head of Training and Development, where she teaches acting, stagecraft, and directing. She also helps drive the local circuit forward as part of the team running the Cheshire Drama Festival and on the board of Cheshire Theatre Guild. Bethany has also been on the board of various other community drama boards and committees over the last 20 years based both in drama musical theatre and also in youth performance.

Bethany has been adjudicating for the Cheshire Theatre Guild focusing on youth, pantomime and musical content productions for two years, and is a multi-award-winning actor and director across NODA, the Cheshire Theatre Guild, and the All England Theatre Festival (AETF) circuit. Bethany has seen five previous productions win the AETF Northern Finals to compete at the National English Finals, alongside consistent invitations to the National Drama Festivals Association (NDFA) in the last four years. This culminated in 2025 with her production of Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons, which swept the AETF Cheshire and Leverhulme Festivals, the AETF Northern Finals, and the AETF English Finals, ultimately being crowned British Champions.
